Grade 70 / 80 Lever Binder Construction

This binder is built with a forged carbon steel body and handle for maximum strength and durability. Forged steel outperforms cast alternatives, handling higher forces without breaking and ensuring reliable leverage. It’s also designed with slightly larger threads than many competitor models, giving you a heavier-duty hold.

Each end includes forged grab hooks with shallow throats for easy, secure chain attachment. To protect against the elements, this binder is finished with a scratch- and heat-resistant powder coating applied through a high-temperature electrostatic process (approx. 270°F).

Why Choose a Lever Load Binder?

Lever binders use leverage instead of a ratcheting mechanism. They’re appreciated for faster operation and lower maintenance since they have fewer moving parts. The tradeoff is the potential risk of snapback, as the handle stores kinetic energy. For an even safer option, consider a recoil-less lever binder.

Safety Note: Do not use with a cheater bar. Cheater bars significantly increase the risk of injury from snapback.

This 13,000 lbs. snap binder is FMCSA / DOT compliant and meets or exceeds WSTDA T-6 Recommended Standards. The working load limit and traceability code are embossed into the body and handle, while the hooks are stamped with grade and size for quick identification during inspections.

Do not exceed the binder's working load limit.

Hand-tighten only; do not use a cheater bar.

Handle should be tightened at a downward angle.

Do not tighten or release the binder while you or anyone else is standing on the load.

Wrap the loose end of the chain around the handle and tightened chain for safety.

Do not close your hand around the binder.

Inspect binder prior to use for signs of wear. Do not use if damaged.

To ensure the load remains secure, check binders frequently.
