AIRTEC are proud to introduce the front mount intercooler upgrade for the Audi TT RS (8J).

Please note, the original Audi crash bar will need modifying to fit this intercooler upgrade. If you feel your DIY skills are up to the job, this can be cut yourself. Or we can supply a pre-modified crash bar for a charge of £295.

Option 1: Without optional Crashbar - If your DIY skills are up to scratch, why not give it ago yourself? Requires existing crashbar to be cut and welded.

Option 2: With Crashbar - Modified Crashbar comes powdercoated and pre-cut ready to fit - (£295.00)

Designed to fit all models, this free-flowing intercooler is a direct replacement for the smaller and more restrictive OEM set up.

Featuring a huge 120mm core design together with high-flow, cast end tanks, the AIRTEC intercooler offers much greater surface area, efficiency and volume over standard. Despite this improvement, it fits neatly behind the original bumper and can be used with the original hoses.

As with all AIRTEC products, the intercooler was tested back-to-back on the dyno aginist the OEM item. This showed a huge reduction in air charge temperatures over standard, as seen below:

Standard Intercooler:

Run 1 - Into intercooler: 117 degrees - Out of intercooler: 69 degrees

Run 2 - Into intercooler: 117 degrees - Out of intercooler: 68 degrees

Run 3 - Into intercooler: 119 degrees - Out of intercooler: 78 degrees

AIRTEC Intercooler:

Run 1 - Into intercooler: 116 degrees - Out of intercooler: 36 degrees

Run 2 - Into intercooler: 117 degrees - Out of intercooler: 36 degrees

Run 3 - Into intercooler: 118 degrees - Out of intercooler : 37 degrees

The comprehensive fitting kit includes all the correct fixtures and fittings, step-by-step instructions with pictures and should take around 3-4 hours to complete.

The intercooler is available in a choice of either Natural Silver or Pro-Series Black finishes, with or without the AIRTEC logo.
