The included seat belt can be easily attached to the harness, preventing the dog from being thrown forward or backward in the car during sudden braking or acceleration. The harness is preferable to attaching the belt to a leash, as sudden pressure on the neck can have adverse effects on the animal, and the harness distributes the pressure in a better, safer way.
